The Gospel Defined
sin is death; but
the gift of God is
eternal life
through Jesus
Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23
The Fundamental Top 500

“…Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners…” (I Timothy 1:15)

“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Luke 5:32)

You have broken the holy law of God. You are therfore guilty and
    condemned before God.

“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the
    only begotten Son of God.”
    (John 3:18)

If you will get honest with yourself and with God, there is hope for you.

Man is not an innocent victim of sin. Since the first man, Adam sinned,
men are sinners by birth, but also sinners by choice. (Romans 3:23, 5:12)

Man is a monster of iniquity.

Man loves sin more than he loves God. (John 3:19)

Man is an aggressive enemy of God, always plotting a new way to break
    God’s law.  (Mark 7:21-22)

                                      - THE  CROSS-

Why did the sinless Son of God have to die on a gory cross? Because sin
must be paid for. Sin is an eternal crime against an infinite God. That
crime against an infinite God must be punished with infinite Justice. The
wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).  That includes physical death, and
eternal death in the lake of fire. You deserved the judgment and wrath of
God that Christ took upon himself on the cross.

The cross of Calvary is where Jesus paid the infinite debt for sin. None
but infinite God could pay an infinite debt.

There God the Father ran the sword of His justice through God the Son,
as Jesus died in the place of sinful men.

Jesus shed His blood as the payment for our sin. As they nailed Him to
the cross, Jesus cried, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they
do!" (Luke 23:34). He had you in mind.

Jesus cried, "I thirst!" as He tasted your Hell. Jesus took your sin upon
his shoulders, and God the Father turned His face away.

Jesus cried "My God, My God, Why hast thou forsaken me?"...as God the
Father turned his back on God the Son. Then Jesus gave up the ghost,
    and died willingly.

They laid him in an empty tomb, but Jesus' body did not see corruption.

On the third day, Jesus arose from the dead. He was seen after His
resurrection by more than 500 men at one time. He showed himself alive
    after many infallible proofs.

Jesus ascended back to the Father's right hand in Heaven, and there sits
on a sovereign throne of Glory. He is Lord of all, and Judge of all.

Jesus will return at any moment, will catch all His believers away in the
rapture of the church. The saved will be taken, and sinners will eventually
be destroyed with a mighty two-edge sword.

Christ will summons all men who have ever lived to appear at His Great
White Throne Judgment. There Jesus will review the life of every man,
woman, boy, and girl who has lived, from the beginning to the end of
time. He will judge them thoroughly for every sin. The more Gospel light
the sinner rejected, the worse damnation he will receive. (Matthew 23:14,
    Mark 12:40, Luke 20:47).

There Jesus will command sinners, one at a time, to be bound and cast
into the Lake of Fire, where they will burn for all eternity under the fierce
    wrath of God.

Only those who have had their sins washed away by the blood of Jesus
and been born again, will be spared from Judgment. Instead of being cast
into Hell, they will be ushered into the eternal glory of Heaven.

                     - THE COMMAND OF THE GOSPEL -

God raise His Son Jesus from the dead on the third day. Now Jesus sits
on a throne of glory as Lord over all the universe. Right now,

“GOD…COMMANDETH ALL MEN EVERYWHERE TO REPENT.” (Acts 17:
    30)

Now you have heard the Gospel. You have two options:
Repent of your sins, believe on Jesus, and be saved
Go on in your sin, Reject Jesus, and be damned to eternal Hell.

    Jesus said about THE GOSPEL,

“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth
not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16)

Salvation does not come by repeating some programmed “sinners
prayer,” by “making a decision”, or by any of man’s works of
righteousness. Salvation comes by grace through faith. Jesus said, "Ye
must be born again."(John 3:7)  To receive God’s free salvation and be
born again, you must repent, or turn from your sins to Jesus. (Ephesians
    2:1-9)

TRUE SALVATION IS A HEART TORN FROM SIN AND TURNED
    TO CHRIST. (I Thessalonians 1:9)

IF YOU HAVE NO REPENTANCE YOU HAVE NO SALVATION.
    (Luke 13:13, Mark 1:15, Acts 3:19, Acts 17:30, I Thessalonians 1:9)

“The Lord…is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should
perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (II Peter 3:9)

                     -  THE COMFORT OF THE GOSPEL -

IF YOU REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL,
THIS IS WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED IN HIS WORD:

    I. GOD WILL SET YOU FREE FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN
Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

“For the Son of man (Jesus) is come to seek and to save that which was
    lost.” (Luke 19:10)

II. GOD WILL GIVE YOU FREEDOM FROM THE GUILT AND SHAME OF SIN
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ
Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1)

III. GOD WILL SAVE YOU FROM THE PUNISHMENT OF SIN
JESUS SAID,   "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word,
and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life,
and shall not
      come into condemnation
; but is passed from death unto life."
      (John 5:24)

IV. GOD WILL GIVE YOU A NEW HEART
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and
I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an
    heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26)

    V. GOD WILL GIVE YOU A BRAND NEW START IN LIFE
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new.”( II Corinthians 5:17)

                    -  HOW CAN A SINNER BE SAVED? -

    Romans 10:8-11
“…The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the
    word of faith, which we preach;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt
    be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
    confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be
    ashamed.”

You must confess with your mouth, believe in your heart….now whether
you have been saved is between you and God. No man can tell you that
you got born again. Only God through His word and the witness of His
Spirit can give you assurance to know you have been saved.

IF YOU SEE YOURSELF AS A HELL-DESERVING SINNER

IF YOU BELIEVE CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SINS AND
    ROSE AGAIN

IF YOU BELIEVE THAT CHRIST CRUCIFIED IS YOUR ONLY HOPE

IF YOU HAVE NO HOPE LEFT IN YOUR RELIGION OR GOOD WORKS

IF YOU ARE TRULY SORRY FOR YOUR SINS AGAINST GOD AND
    DESIRE HIS FORGIVENESS

IF YOU ARE READY TO SAY “GOODBYE” TO YOUR LIFE OF SIN AND
COME FOLLOW CHRIST FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE…

Then call on God and ask Him to save you. Don’t stop calling on Him
until He saves you. Call upon the Lord until you know He has saved your
soul, your heart has been changed, and you have been born again.
Do not take any man’s word for it. Do not let anyone tell you that you are
saved. Let God give you peace to know you are saved.
He does that through His word, the Bible.

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son
of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may
believe on the name of the Son of God.” (I John 5:13)

                          - THE CONTINUATION OF THE GOSPEL -
If you get saved by the grace of God, you need to be baptized into a
good, strong Baptist church, and there be discipled and trained in God’s
Word. This will be the first step of obedience after salvation.
